| Well its not a matter of conjecture really. Look at the compressor maps clearly show a 1000 rev move to the right of the graph. In fact at the exact point the GT28R's are hitting maximum efficency the GT28RS is just starting to ramp up in boost. You have to remember that we are only driving the turbine with 1500cc of exhaust gas. If you look at the figures, if we had 2000cc of exhaust gas it actually fits the GT28RS quite a bit better. The compressor wheel in the RS from memory has fewer blades than the GT28R, Hence it spools slower ie: more lag. If you can push your engine to 8500 revs and 30 PSI the RS is a better choice. Of course you need a built forged engine to do that. No confusion really. They don't publish graphs for no good reason.
